Truth Behind Man Claiming To Be Elon Musk’s ‘Kenyan Son’ Seeking DNA Test

Elon Musk may have fathered 14 children, but one audacious assertion suggests that figure may be even higher.

Nyakundi Kibiru, a 40-year-old Kenyan man, recently went viral after claiming to be Musk’s firstborn child, the product of a liaison between the Tesla CEO and Kibiru’s mother in the early 1990s. The twist? Musk would have only been 14 at the time if Kibiru’s calculations are accurate.

“I’m the Firstborn”: Kibiru Demands a DNA Test

According to Kibiru, who spoke to The Daily Star, his mother worked at a hotel in Kenya’s Masai Mara when she first met Musk, who was 20 at the time. He identified as a “mental health activist” and asserted that he was born as a result of his mother’s brief meeting with the future billionaire. He is now requesting a DNA test to confirm the link.

Online users swiftly shared pictures of Kibiru, with many highlighting the alleged physical resemblances between him and Musk. Some believed the likeness was too close to be chance because of the facial traits and sculpted jawline.

One person commented, “He really look just like him,” while another wrote, “Spitting image.”

Internet Detectives Step In

Not everybody was persuaded. Some critics pointed out strange aspects in Kibiru’s photograph and accused him of employing artificial intelligence to create it.

“This is AI, look at the top button on the guy’s shirt,” one person noted. “There is no hole for the button.”

Another asked, “And the chances he would pose like this – with the exact same beard, in front of the most generic corporate blurred background like a model?”

More chimed in with comments like, “AI. As much as I would love to believe it.”

“Nah, gotta be AI. The ears and hairline are too identical.”

Others proposed an entirely other theory: perhaps Kibiru was Musk’s brother rather than his kid.

“Have you considered he could be a brother and not the father? Everybody has a doppelganger somewhere on this planet. It’s just that you haven’t met yours yet.”

The Timeline Doesn’t Add Up

The actual kicker? The math just doesn’t add up. Musk would have just been 14 years old—a adolescent still in high school—at the time of the alleged liaison if Kibiru is 40 and Musk is currently 54.

Given that the age of consent in Kenya is 18, that not only totally refutes the claim but also raises a significant legal issue. Therefore, Kibiru would have unintentionally accused his mother of breaking the law if this narrative were accurate.

Grok Gets Dragged Into the Drama

As the strange assertion gathered traction, Musk’s AI chatbot Grok also came into focus. Since the bot was banned from Musk’s own platform, X, some people conjectured that Grok itself may have been used to create the viral image.

Regardless of its veracity, the suspension fueled the web conspiracy even more.

Musk’s team has not yet responded to Kibiru’s allegation, and there is no sign that a DNA test will be conducted.

So, is this someone seeking online fame, an AI hoax, or a case of mistaken identity? In any case, Musk’s declared child count has not altered.
